November 12-13, 2020

New Orleans, LA

Unfortunately, in light of the current COVID-19 situation, including many institutions limiting travel and/or advising limitations of all non-essential travel and the developing nature of this situation, your leaders of the WAVES operations team have decided to postpone the upcoming WAVES workshop to Thursday November 12th – Friday, November 13th, 2020. We will update the rest of the website when we know more. You can email with any questions.

Please join us in “The Big Easy”, New Orleans, for the 2020 Workshop for Advancement of Victories in Experimental Stroke (WAVES). WAVES offers a moderator-led open discussion about key issues that directly impact fundamental aspects of stroke research, and provides opportunities to share ideas and challenge existing stroke research dogma. There will be updates on other areas pertinent to stroke researchers, including post-stroke dementia, and special focus workgroups with the goal of drafting publications to share findings and recommendations. A NINDS program director will discuss various translational funding opportunities at the NIH. Finally, WAVES will provide ample opportunity to network and to learn about the Clinical Neuroscience Research Center at Tulane University School of Medicine.
